SCORE, like all organizations, must regularly review processes and standards with a focus on ensuring the highest quality of service delivery to Clients and other important constituents (Volunteers and Partners). As a portion of this review, an important outcome is the criteria that all SCORE Chapters meet the established SCORE Chapter Minimum Standards to remain a Chapter of the SCORE Association. Minimum standards ensure that chapter operations are sustainable and consistent for our Clients, Volunteers and Communities. The standards ensure alignment with SCORE operational programs, meeting required client service activities, and adherence to the SCORE brand.
Chapters that fail to meet the following minimum standards are candidates for probationary status and consolidation with a nearby Chapter or closed. The final decision will follow a detailed review by the Regional Vice President, District Director and final approval by the Vice President of Field Operations.
SCORE Chapter Minimum Standards are:
- Chapter has an active Chapter Chair and viable leadership Team at all times.
- Chapter maintains a minimum of 20 Active Mentors.
- Chapter records at least 200 Mentoring Sessions annually.
- Chapter conducts a monthly in person or hybrid Chapter Member meeting.
- Chapter establishes and nourishes at least 5 Community partnerships.
- Achieves, consistently quarterly assigned Core Essential Services contribution.
- Completes and follows Chapter Annual Operating plan.
- Fully complies with SCORE FY26 Brand guidelines.
- Participates in SBA Chapter Audit, as notified.
