Liftoff Houston is the City of Houston's annual business plan competition. It is an entrepreneurial initiative that aim to empower Houstonians with business literacy education and mentorship to start their own business while contributing to the local growth and sustainability of the Houston economy. It is sponsored by Capital One Bank, which provides cash prizes totaling $30,000.

In 2021, two of the three winners in the Liftoff Houston competition are clients of SCORE Houston mentor, Geoff Atwater. Geoff even helped them practice their pitching leading up to the event! 

Krystle Hodge of Safety Kay,LLC, and Alina Kravchenko of Better Way Body, LLC, each won $10,000!
