William D. “Bill” Wise joined SCORE in August 2002 at the invitation of a longstanding family friend who was also a SCORE member. After a brief introduction to SCORE systems, Bill started mentoring clients and over the past 20 years, accumulated an estimated 500 clients. He currently serves as the Engage Client Intake Coordinator and in the past, served as the Workshop Chairman several times and continues as Chapter Secretary for the past 10 years.

Bill believes that during the last 20 years, the evolution of the computer and its various applications have been the most influencing single factor affecting SCORE development. He knows successful business techniques never change, but the way we process them does change and allows successes to occur more rapidly. He believes continuing developments in computer science will enhance the opportunities for future SCORE mentors to have rewarding experiences in mentoring. His words of advice for future SCORE mentors is for them to gain new knowledge in their fields as soon as possible in order to be of greatest assistance to their clients.
